Avoid any unwanted hassles with Automatic Delivery!
Do you use Automatic Delivery to get your propane from Blue Flame?
If you do, you know the peace of mind that comes from knowing your home will always have the propane it needs to create that safe and comfortable feeling—especially throughout New Jersey winters!
With Automatic Delivery, our computers calculate your propane usage history alongside current weather conditions to accurately predict when you’ll need propane, and we make a propane delivery to your home before you run low.
But if you’re still using Will-Call, it’s up to you to keep track of your propane usage. That means you regularly have to go outside, in all kinds of weather, to read your propane tank gauge. Then you have to contact Blue Flame to request a delivery. For what it’s worth—We strongly recommend that you do not let your tank fall below 30% full before requesting a delivery.
It’s more important than ever these days to keep an eye on your propane tank gauge levels. Our lives have changed dramatically this year. If you have been staying home more, working remotely, or have adult children or elderly parents moved in with you, your propane usage has also changed dramatically.
Since you’re home more often, you’re using more propane for heating than when you were out more during the day, whether at work or school, with friends, or running errands.
If more people are living in your home, you’re using more hot water, which means your water heater is burning through more propane. Being home more usually means cooking more too—so more propane is being used by your range.
If you forget to check your tank gauge levels, or request a delivery, you could be facing a propane runout. That’s a potentially expensive hassle.
What Happens If I Run Out Of Propane?
The first thing you have to do is contact Blue Flame right away. DO NOT use the online contact form or email us.
Call us any time of day or night at 844-219-5767. We’ll get an emergency propane delivery to your home as quickly as possible—though an after-hours fee may apply.
That emergency delivery is just the start of dealing with a propane runout. You must have a complete safety inspection of your propane system performed by a professional service technician. That safety inspection includes a leak test, a pressure test, an inspection of your propane tank and propane appliances, and a professional re-lighting of all the propane appliance pilots.
You are responsible for the costs of the emergency delivery and the safety inspection.
Want even more security about your propane supply? Blue Flame also offers wireless propane tank monitoring! We’ll BOTH be in-the-know 24/7 about exactly how much propane is in your tank. When it reaches a set level, we get an alert and schedule the delivery.
